🧾 Who Needs an Equivalency Certificate?

Students who have completed their graduation from institutions outside Osmania University and are applying to OU for:

  • B.Ed.
  • M.Ed.
  • LLB (3-year)
  • PG programs (MA, MSc, MCom etc.)
  • Distance Education (PG via Prof. G. Ram Reddy Center)

✅ Note: Students who completed both UG and PG from OU do not need this certificate.

📋 Application Process

Option 1: Visit OU Campus

  1. Go to the Academic Section (2nd floor, Admin Building, opposite the Controller of Exams).
  2. Submit filled form + documents.
  3. Submit a Demand Draft (DD) of ₹2000 in favour of “The Registrar, O.U.”

Option 2: Apply via Post

  1. Send all documents + DD via Speed Post / Registered Post.
  2. Address the post to the Academic Branch, Osmania University.
  3. Optional: Follow up in person after 5–7 working days.

  • SSC (10th class) memo
  • Intermediate (10+2) memo
  • Degree marks memos (all semesters & consolidated)
  • Degree certificate (provisional or original)
  • Transfer Certificate (Xerox only)
  • Migration Certificate
  • Proof of UGC recognition (for non-OU universities)
  • Distance Mode Recognition Proof (if applicable)

📌 Tips & Reminders

  • Carry a photocopy of all documents.
  • Ensure the DD is drawn from a nationalised bank.
  • Do not submit original Transfer Certificate.
  • Allow at least 7 working days for processing.
